The launch of Friends of Alice Publishing (FoA), an independent publishing venture based in London, took place on Monday 26 November at 6.30pm at the famed arts club, The Library, in central London.

Aiming to uphold diversity and inclusiveness and encouraging new voices and experimental writing, FoA’s leitmotif is “pioneering writing to serve the imagination”.

To coincide with the launch, the FoA co-founder, Isabel del Rio, presented her four latest books, two in English and two in Spanish. Isabel is a bilingual writer and poet, and her favourite genre can only be described as noir.

The event includes a discussion with journalist Mark A. Silberstein, poetry and fiction readings, and a Q&A session.
